I’ll admit, I was disappointed that I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who got to test out the Chromebook when they were asking for testers. But after watching the video about the Chromebook I’ve lifted my grudge and now can’t wait for it to come out!
According to Google, the Chromebook will boot in about 8 seconds and will load the web faster than you’ve ever seen. It’s been optimized for the web since, well, it is the web. There are no programs installed and you don’t need to worry about virus protection or keeping up-to-date with the latest patches. Everything will be stored online via Google’s web apps so your experience will be the same on any Chromebook.
Anyway, instead of ranting on about the Chromebook, I’ll let the guys over at Google tell you about it.
